Vidushi Smt. Lakshmi Sundaram is the daughter and disciple of Sathur Sri. A.G. Subramaniam. Lakshmi started learning Carnatic music from a very young age from her father and has performed widely in various prestigious sabhas in India. She has been an All India Radio graded artist of Chennai for the past four decades. She further honed her musical skills with the eminent musician Smt. Seethamani Srinivasan, and the maestro Sri M. N. Sundaravaradan of Krishna Music School. A prestigious music school, she also taught here for 20 years imparting her musical knowledge to the next generation. Lakshmi also runs her own music school in Chennai where she has trained innumerable students over four decades! She has been awarded the title "Isai Arasi" by the Perambur music Sabha in Chennai.
